Interior Designers, do you need a wizard on your team?

So, I was talking about the value of having a relationship with a Decorative Painter. We can do amazing things that will make an Interior Designer look like a total superstar to their client.
Lots of our work involves planning, designing, sourcing product and getting on huge scaffolds as was the case with this two-storey foyer ceiling.
But sometimes it's the little things that can make or break a Designers vision. Sometimes, no matter how beautiful the wallpaper or the tile, the practical elements of house building can get in the way. This is when your Decorative Painter can help.

In this photo, a beautiful and madly expensive Maya Romanoff wallpaper was used in the dining room. However, the white  HVAC grille was ruining the overall look. My Designer asked me what could be done. I painted the grille to match the wallpaper, an elegant solution.

The wall of this outdoor kitchen was clad in beautiful stacked stone. This house was a "Smart" house, a wonder of electronic wizadry. The heat sensors were a great idea but not so pretty to look at. Using texture and metallic paint I was able to virtually make it disappear.

Now you see it...........now you don't!

I was able to do the same with the HVAC grille and heat sensor in this room which was decorated with a beautiful Grasscloth wall covering.

This was a fun and challenging project. Making the electric socket plates look like the glass tile of the backsplash.

How can a Decorative Painter help you?

In ways you probably haven't even thought of yet!
