Working on glass is one of my favourite things to do. It has a special, magical quality that adds a unique,
custom look to your decor.
Mirrored splashback
Here, the client wanted a distressed mirrored splashback to bring light
into her kitchen. Using real sliver leaf on tempered glass, I created a
mirrored finish then distressed the silver leaf. Rather than use dark
backing paint to create the look of old mirror, I backed the silver with
imitation gold leaf, creating the finish desired by the client.
The technique is done on the back of the glass and is seen through the glass. This creates a seamless splashback that is easy to clean.
Bathroom shelf
Glaze, mica, glitter and paint combines to deliver a truly unique finish on this previously boring frosted glass shelf in a recent bathroom makeover.
